Course Overview

  • Description

In this webinar offered in August 2017, you will learn the effectiveness of allergen specific immunotherapy that has been demonstrated from several clinical trials throughout the world over the last 50 years. This lecture will focus on the studies that have demonstrated lasting effects following a course of immunotherapy. These studies include clinical benefits that extend beyond ending allergen and venom immunotherapy as well as prevention of asthma studies. Successful immunotherapy should have healthcare benefits resulting in less medication and office visits. Studies will be reviewed that have explored possible cost savings.

  • Objective

To gain knowledge of studies that show immune modifying effects of immunotherapy and how immunotherapy can provide long term benefits for allergic individuals and cost saving to healthcare.
